Pere Planaguma
Chef Pere Planaguma worked in acclaimed European restaurants, such as La Tour d’Argent in Paris, Mas Pau Avinyonet, and El Bulli under Ferran Adrià in Girona and he was a culinary consultant and professor of creative cuisine at the award-winning El Celler De Can Roca Restaurant.
He holds a sommelier certificate from Fundació Universitat Oberta de Girona and he is held in high esteem in the culinary world. With a focus on sustainable and seasonal gastronomy, his cuisine is, at once, simple, elegant and generous. Chef Pere presents artistic Spanish cuisine stripped back to the essentials, as a reflection of his rural landscape and creative vision.
He worked as a Head Chef at the 2-Michelin-Starred Les Cols Restaurant in Spain and a lecturer in gastronomy at Harvard University. After returning to Girona and opening his own restaurant ROM, now Chef Planaguma attends gastronomic events as a scholar and gastronomy consultant at various locations around the world for the Gastrocultura Mediterránea Academy.
